Hills Beach in Biddeford is a 500-yard stretch of sandy beach on the northern side of Biddeford Pool near the mouth of the Saco River. Steep dunes lead down to this quiet beach, which is protected by the breakwater on the northern side and the curve of the cove to the south. Parking is very limited along the streets of the neighborhood near the beach, so you may prefer to bicycle or walk from closer to town. Birdwatching is a popular activity at the beach owing to its proximity to the wetlands of Biddeford Pool. Hills Beach has no lifeguard and no facilities.
